Therapy for Adolescents

Adolescence can be a challenging time …

Teens may struggle to navigate the demands of school, social interactions, friendships, their interaction with family, and fight with their own emotions. I have clinical experience working with adolescents in high school and middle school. Some of the issues I work on are:

  • anxiety

  • perfectionism

  • social difficulties

  • isolation

  • anger management

  • depression

  • identity issues

My approach to treatment is ecclectic, and adapted to each client. It is influenced by cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), positive psychology, mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), object-relation theory, client-centered approach, multi-cultural and systems thinking.
